Veotag to Launch Web Video Portal for LINGOs, a Consortium of 27 Humanitarian Relief Organizations
New York (PRWEB) June 28, 2007 -- Veotag, a company that makes organizations? audio and video libraries text-searchable, and LINGOs (Learning for International Non-Governmental Organizations), a consortium of 27 humanitarian relief and development organizations, announced today that Veotag will build and maintain video portals for LINGOs member organizations to train and educate their employees, field workers, partners and volunteers worldwide.
Eric Berg, Executive Director of LINGOs said, ?Our member organizations believe that Web video is a strategic tool for educating employees, partners and volunteers worldwide. We selected Veotag to host and make searchable the video libraries of organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children, CARE, Catholic Relief Services, World Vision and many others to leverage the power of Web video to help them meet their global objectives.?
Veotag will make its easy, self-service tools available to the e-learning staffs of all 27 LINGOs member agencies. With Veotag, they will be able to:
? Upload their video libraries to the web without help from their IT departments ? Create clickable tables of contents for each video that tell viewers what?s inside, and let them conveniently click to the parts that interest them most ? Add coordinated slides, notes and links that add richness to the viewing experience ? Implement a search engine that searches within videos, not just for them
?Putting a video library onto the Web is one thing,? said Scott Rhodes, CEO of Veotag. ?Making it searchable is another. LINGOs member organizations now have the means to help their thousands of far-flung employees and volunteers quickly find the right segments of video within their libraries.?
